Why does a plumber dump dye into my drain?

The dye will come out of any leaks and tell you exactly where they are.

well if you see any of the dye..where you shouldnt be..around pipes on the walls etc..you will know you have a leak…

He’s checking the line for any leaks, then he will seal them as he finds them. Have a great day!
